Biography
Christine Cimini joined Vermont Law School in 2011 as a Visiting Professor and is the Director of the Semester in Practice and Externship Programs. She most recently served as an associate professor and director of clinical programs at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law (DU) and was named the Ronald V. Yegge Clinic Director in 2010. She spent a year as a visiting faculty member at Cornell University Law School. From 1993-1996, Professor Cimini was a Robert M. Cover Fellow in Clinical Teaching at Yale Law School.
Her publications include a three-part series on welfare reform and due process and a recent focus on legal issues that arise when representing undocumented immigrant workers. Her article entitled Ask, Don't Tell: Ethical Issues Surrounding Undocumented Workers' Status in Employment Litigation was published in the Stanford Law Review. Other articles have been published in the Maryland Law Review, the Rutgers Law Review and the Georgetown Journal on Poverty Law and Policy.
Professor Cimini and her clinic students at DU received the Clinical Legal Education Association (CLEA) Award for Excellence in Public Interest Project in May of 2002 for their work addressing the problem of predatory lending in Denver.
Professor Cimini served for two terms as a member of the Board of Directors of the Clinical Legal Education Association, is currently cochair of the AALS, Clinical Section, Regional Conference Committee, a member of the AALS, Clinical Section, Scholarship Committee, and a member of the Clinical and Skills Education Committee of the ABA Section of Legal Education and Admissions to the Bar.
