Biography

Professor Stefanie L. Sidortsova joined Vermont Law School in 2008 and is currently the assistant director of the Academic Success Program. She teaches Advanced Legal Analysis and provides group and individual workshops in exam writing, study skills, bar exam skills, and bar preparation.

Prior to joining VLS, Professor Sidortsova worked as a health care policy analyst and reform advocate for the Vermont Public Interest Research Group (VPIRG). She is a member of the Arizona and Vermont state bars, and has experience in financing, commercial real estate, and corporate transactional matters. Professor Sidortsova serves on the Vermont State Advisory Committee to the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights and is a member of the VPIRG board of trustees. She is also a co-founder and board member of The Jirani Project, a not-for-profit organization that assists vulnerable children in Kenya. She served as that organization's president from 2004-2009.

Professor Sidortsova received her JD in 2005 from the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law at Arizona State University, where she served on the executive board of the law review and as a teaching assistant in the legal writing department. She received her BA in English from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
