June 13, 2012
Vermont Law School Professor Michael McCann has been busy lately providing the national media with insight into two major trials and a lawsuit in the world of sports.
McCann, one of the nation's top sports law experts, discussed the start of the child sexual abuse trial of former Penn State football coach Jerry Sandusky in his Sports Illustrated column and in interviews with Bloomberg News, MSNBC and other news outlets.
MCann also analyzed the trial of former baseball great Roger Clemens, where a jury is deliberating whether he lied to Congress about taking performance-enhancing drugs, in his Sports Illustrated column.
In addition, McCann spoke with The Washington Post, NPR/WBUR's "Only A Game" and MSNBC about lawsuits filed by retired NFL players claiming the league withheld information related to concussions and other head trauma suffered while playing the game.
