VLS in the Community
As Vermont's only law school, VLS takes its commitment to community seriously. Ranked among the nation’s top schools for public interest law, our students and alumni devote themselves to serving others. In the Environmental Law Center, students help rural farmers ease their reliance on fossil fuels, while the Land Use Institute helps local towns plan sensibly for growth. In the South Royalton Legal Clinic, low-income Vermonters find the lawyer they might not otherwise afford. Likewise for the new immigrant who has traveled from Ghana to the Green Mountains. After graduating, our alumni bring this commitment to communities around the world, but it starts here.
