Group Events

VLS Partners Group Activities 2012-2013

The Partners Group organizes a number of scheduled and impromptu events throughout the year, some of which are open only to partners and others to partners and students.

Monthly Partners Potluck Dinners

Open only to partners and children, the monthly dinners are held the first Wednesday of every month (see calendar). A different partner hosts the dinner each month and we often have guest speakers or discussions.

An email invitation is sent out via the group's listserv with details each month; so be sure you get on the listserv if you want to get the invitations!

Weekend Activities

There is at least one fun activity each month for partners and students aside from the potlucks. Different partners volunteer to organize or host each month. Apple picking, game night, hiking, a trip to the Tunbridge Fair, pumpkin carving, snowshoeing, dinner out, a day in Burlington...the possibilities are endless!

Cocktail Party

Partners and students are invited to come meet each other and kick off the school year in style at a cocktail party hosted by Dean Marc Mihaly and his wife Chris, our #1 Partner.

Cookie Swap

While the students are nestled all snug at their desks, visions of cookies dance through their heads! Partners are welcome to swap cookies and recipes at the annual cookie swap while students are busy with exams.

Holiday Party

Classes are over, exams are done, and the Holiday Party is the perfect time for partners and students to come together and relax at the start of vacation.

Accepted Students Day

Accepted students descend on VLS for a day in the spring; help the Partners Group staff a table and share your experiences with incoming students and partners.

End of Year Party

Celebrate the end of the year, welcome in summer, and help send off the graduating 3Ls and 3L partners.

The Partners Group is always looking for help and new ideas! Email Ariel if you would like to sign up to host a potluck dinner, organize a weekend event, help with a party, or if you have ideas for a new activity.
