MSL/MSEL/MELP Alumni Committee
Welcome to the MELP/MSEL/MSL* Vermont Law School Alumni Committee website
Formed in 2009 with the full support of VLS, the MELP/MSEL/MSL Alumni Committee (the 3M Committee), for the first time, gives a collective voice to the group of 3M alumni who did not obtain a joint JD-MELP, MSEL, or MSL degree. Its mission is to facilitate 3M alumni involvement in the VLS community and to provide a conduit between 3M alumni and the VLS administration. It also promotes the professional interests of all 3M alumni and students, including joint degree students and alumni, by making useful environmental career information and advice available.
Currently, there are nine members who make up the Committee, including a member of the current MELP class and a specially-elected member of the VLS Alumni Association who serves ex-officio:
Sandy Hauserman '94 Chair/Member
Christina Cope '02 Member
Ellen Crivella '07 Member
Allison Dennis '05 Member
Stephanie Kiefer '95 Member
Todd Parker '06 Member
Lisa Phipps ‘99 Vice Chair/Member
Ed Wadsworth '03 Secretary-Treasurer/Member
Farleigh Wolfe '11 MELP Student Member

The Mentor Subcommittee: Working closely with VLS personnel, is reviewing the feasibility and mechanics of assembling a group of experienced environmental professionals to serve as career planning/implementation mentors for MELP degree candidates and recent MELP/MSEL graduates.
Subcommittee Chair: Lisa Phipps
The External Communications Subcommittee: Oversees the Committee's presence on the VLS website and prepares a regular Committee column for VLS's Loquitur alumni publication. Read our latest Loquitur here.
Subcommittee Lead: Allison Dennis
The Special Projects Subcommittee: Seeks to identify projects which will benefit VLS and/or the VLS community, which will be identified with the MELP/MSEL/MSL program, and which the Committee could sponsor and support, financially and/or otherwise.
Subcommittee Chair: Sandy Hauserman
The Resources Subcommittee: Seeks to identify, evaluate and present to the full Committee, on a continuing basis, potential new Committee members.
