Please join us for an optional tour of a local sugar house. During the tour you will experience the art of making maple syrup. You will be outdoors, so boots and appropriate outer wear are suggested. Following the tour we will meet at our local pub for a craft beer or Kombucha tasting. Please know this tour is dependent on both the weather overall as well as the conditions for making maple syrup, so a last minute change is always possible.
Most students will fly into either Manchester, New Hampshire or Burlington, Vermont. Some students will travel by Amtrak and arrive in White River Junction. Rental cars are available locally and Zip Cars are on Campus. Lodging is available throughout the Upper Valley. Most students tend to stay at the Residence Inn in Lebanon, New Hampshire, which is a half hour from campus. Some students will stay at a local bed and breakfast, including the Antiqued Inn Time in South Royalton, VT or the Harrington House in Bethel, VT.
