Distinguished Sports Law Visitors
The Sports Law Institute regularly sponsors lectures and panel discussions on current topics in sports law. Past events have included these luminaries in sports law:
Chris Brown is president of the Basketball and Entertainment Divisions of the Boston-based Orpehus Sports and Entertainment, which he cofounded. Brown's clients include NBA players and music stars, including Los Angeles Clippers center DeAndre Jordan and former Indiana Pacers point guard Travis Best. Brown is also an adjunct entertainment law professor at Boston College Law School, from which he graduated in 1998.
Erin Buzuvis is professor of law at Western New England College of Law and an expert on Title IX and legal issues involving sexual orientation, gender, transgender, and intersex athletes.
Alan Milstein is a nationally acclaimed sports litigator who has represented Carmelo Anthony, Allen Iverson, Maurice Clarett, and Eddy Curry, and many other star athletes in litigation and other matters.
Ryan Rodenberg is an assistant professor at Florida State University's Department of Sport and Recreation Management, former counsel at Octagon sports agency, and author of articles on age limits in professional tennis and the LPGA.
Mike Zarren is the Boston Celtics' assistant general manager and associate counsel. Zarren plays a key role in talent evaluation and salary cap management for the team, including in the famed deal for Kevin Garnett.
