Professor Parenteau Testifies Before House Natural Resources CommitteeJune 4, 2013
Patrick Parenteau testified on June 4 on the importance of the citizen suit provision of the Endangered Species Act before the Natural Resources Committee of the U.S. House of Representatives. Parenteau testified that citizen suits are a "critical component" of the ESA because they "hold agencies accountable to the rule of law and to the will of congress." He also refuted charges that the citizen process has led to abuses. The full text of the testimony is available here.
