The U.S.- China Partnership is hosting a presentation, February 2nd, 2012 from 3:35pm to 5:15pm, in OAKES 110. 

Please join us for the presentations of 4 Chinese visiting scholars:
* Professor Yu Wenxuan will present: "The Environmental Impact Assessment Systems in China and in the U.S."
* Professor Zhang Bao and Professor Zhang Minchun will present: "The Development of Specialized Environmental Courts in China"
* Professor Guo Wu will present: "The Introduction of Environmental Customary in Modern Society" This event will be a great way to get more familiar with the Chinese Environmental Law.

There will be tea, coffee, and cookies for all!

China Environment Forum Internship APPLICATION FORM
Summer 2012

Application Deadline: November 23, 2011

The U.S.-China Partnership for Environmental Law at Vermont Law School invites students to apply for an unpaid summer internship doing policy research for the China Environment Forum at the Woodrow Wilson Center in Washington, D.C.  Under the guidance of CEF Director Jennifer Turner students may work on topics such as building new U.S.-China energy and climate networks, the water-energy nexus in China, environmental governance, food safety, water management, nongovernmental organization development, environmental justice, and municipal financing for environmental infrastructure.

WWF-Hong Kong Internship Opportunity

The U.S.-China Partnership for Environmental Law would like to invite students to apply for a summer 2012 internship working for the WWF-Hong Kong climate programme team at their Central office in Hong Kong. Under the guidance of climate programme director, Dr. William Yu, students may work on issues such as energy management regulation, carbon footprint awareness programs, and climate legislation. The selected student is responsible for funding his or her own visa, housing, insurance and any other living expenses while interning in Hong Kong.  However, the selected student will receive roundtrip airfare from the United States to Hong Kong (up to $2000 and booked by the China Partnership).

Please find the application below this announcement or with Casey Stevens at the U.S.-China Partnership for Environmental Law Office and submit all application materials to Casey no later than October 14, 2011. Students who have additional questions about this internship should contact Professor Jason Czarnezki, Faculty Director of the U.S.-China Partnership for Environmental Law.
