CAFS Brown Bag Lunch with Peggy Shinn
Monday, November 4, 2013
12:45pm - 2:00pm
ELC Conference Room, Vermont Law School
Please join the Center for Agriculture and Food Systems (CAFS) for a brown bag talk with Peggy Shinn, author of Deluge: Tropical Storm Irene, Vermont's Flash Floods, and How One Small State Saved Itself. Deluge is the complete story of the floods, the rescue, and the recovery, as seen through the eyes of the people who lived through them. Stories include South Royalton's Geo Honigford, who lost his crops, but put his own mess on hold to help others in the town; and the entire village of Pittsfield, completely isolated after the storm, and its inspirational story of real community.
